QR code generator
Why QR Codes One of the strengths of Netex Cloud is a platform aimed at integration with mobile devices. The objective is that the student has the contents where and how he wants, making it as easy as possible for him to combine training with his work and leisure. One of the most common tools when consuming content with our mobile phone or tablet with camera are QR codes. Two-dimensional barcodes that allow us to provide the user with all kinds of directions or access to applications in a graphic and simple way. LMS also has its own QR code generator, which allow you to give students direct access to the training content in which they are enrolled. The LMS QR code generator is a default feature, which means it is not necessary to activate it for each Instance. If you can not find it or have any trouble with its function, please contact your Learning Consultant or KAM. How to get the QR of a content According to logic, the QR code of any content, Sprint or Channel, is related to its Training. If we want to direct the student to a content, it is because before we have previously made it public and we have summoned him. Therefore, the option to generate a QR is available in the menu of each Training. In order to generate the QR code of a Sprint or Channel, first we will have to publish it and create a Training in which the students are included. From the main page of the Learning Manager we go to the Learning section if we want to generate the QR of a Sprint, or to Channels if it is for a Channel. We enter Trainings through the access in the menu on the left of the screen, and in the list we search for the one we want and click on it. To generate a QR code we need to access the Trainings section, therefore our user must have General Administrator or Group Administrator user access. Author or Validator users will not be able to create these codes. Once inside the Training, we simply have to display the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the screen, and click on the Generate QR code option to display an image with the QR code overprinted on the screen. Just right-click on it and download it to your device. IMPORTANT: in order for a user to access a Sprint through a QR code, the Call must be mandatory, that is, the student must already be registered for the Sprint. If the Call is a Free Enrollment, when using the QR, the platform will return an error explaining the content is restricted. This only affects Sprints. In the case of Channels, it is indistinct if the Call is mandatory or free. In case we have a Free Enrollment Sprint Training, before summoning the student, we must click on the same three-dot menu and access the Edit details option to change the settings. Here we must deactivate the flag of Free Enrollment so that all new enrollments are mandatory. QR code format The QR code created is a PNG format image file, with a 320x320 pixels resolution. These features allow it to be processed by most text or image editors, or to be used for printing. After the release of the new Netex Cloud LMS Admin (May 2023) when generating the QR code you will also see the URL it points to (the Training's URL) and an icon you can click on to copy it to the clipboard. Using the QR Code Once you have downloaded the image file with the QR code, you can make it available to the student in multiple ways. Printing it on paper or other physical support, adding it to a web page or text document, or sending it directly to him by email or any messaging application. That's how easy it is to use the LMS' QR code generator and use it to summon our students in a more attractive and visual way.

Multi-organization
What is Multi-organization? Multi-organization is a feature of the Netex Cloud platform that allows an easy way to organize educational contents, facilitate its access and organize the groups of employees to which they will be assigned. It is fundamentally based on two concepts, Organization and Catalog, through which you can give a new functionality to groups of students, and distribute the contents so that you can easily mark who has access to what. In the same company or entity there may be different agencies or departments that, although they operate independently, coordinate in many aspects. That is why it does not make sense to have a different instance for each of them, it is likely that they even share some training topics. Multi-organization allows to manage these different departments as independent groups within the same instance, being able to create independent contents for each one, and at the same time share others in a cross-cutting manner. Example of Multi-organization Let's take for example a logistics corporation, with several companies (Organizations) dedicated to different sectors belong, such as direct sales to the public or supply to companies. Or a publishing group with companies covering different fields such as book publishing, press, digital media... Most of the training received by the workers of each company (Catalogs) will be different, but there will be many topics they will share, such as "Health and Safety" or "Clocking-in system". With Multi-organization all these companies can be under the same training instance, keeping their own training catalogs and at the same time sharing others that are common. How does Multi-organization work? Accessing and managing this series of Organizations and Catalogs is easy, through three user access: Group administrator, will be in charge of managing Users: their creation and registration in the different organizations and contents; the management of trainings; and access to course results and the evaluation of the contents bu the students. Author, will be in charge of Content management: the creation of new courses and training lessons; the modification or updating of other content already created; and the assignment of achievements or badges that gamify such content. Student, is the final recipient of this content. Through the LMS platform he will have quick access not only to the trainings assigned to him, but also to others that may interest him, follow thematic channels, or check his evaluations and achievements. Go to Multi-organization, within the New features section to find out how to implement this new tool in your instance and get the most out of it.

Types of Trainings
Thanks to this feature you will be able to specify how you are going to enroll a student in a training, what requirements there will be. There are now four types of trainings. The first one is set up when creating a new training. And the other three are configured once it has been created, managing the list of enrolled students. Public Training When creating a new training, in the pop-up menu to set it up it, you will see a new option in the Enrollment Settings section: Public Training: activating this flag the training will be visible to ALL USERS of the tenant, whether they are enrolled in the training or not. The training will be displayed to students in their Recommended carousel, but the thumbnail will not have the Recommended marker. From there they will be able to click, access the course information window and enroll if they wish. Through this option you won't have to "recommend" the course one by one to all the users of the tenant. This option can be modified as many times as you want once the training has been created. If you deactivate it, the training will no longer be visible to all users. You can check if this option is activated or not directly in the training list, by checking the Public Training column. Types of Training Once the training has been created, enter the Students tab to Summon Students, and you will find three different options (whether the Public training option is activated or not): Recommended Training: similar to the former Free Enrollment option, the training will appear in the user's Recommended carousel, now with the Recommended marker on the thumbnail. The students will be able to view the course information and enroll if they wish. It works in a similar way to the Public Training, but not being a global action, selecting only some specific users. Optional Training: this option automatically enrolls the student in the training, but does not require him to complete it. The course is shown in his My Learning carousel, but without the Mandatory marker. You can use this option to encourage students to participate in a particularly course, without making it mandatory. Mandatory Training: this is equal to the former option of enrolling a student in a training for mandatory completion. The course is shown in his My Learning carousel, with the Mandatory marker. You can change the type of training as many times as you like. When checking the list of students enrolled in a Training, in the right column you can see the type of training they have been assigned. Clicking on the box next to their name, the options to change the type of training or to exclude them are shown at the bottom of the screen. This action can be massive, several users can be selected and their status can be changed at the same time. Of course, in the same Training there can be students with different types of training at the same time. For the Group Enrollment and the Pathway Trainings, the types of Trainings and their functioning are the same.
